hey everybody I decided it was time to do one more review tonight before storms come in we got some storms coming in here and decided this time I'm going to do a review on anti virus called f-prot and by a frisk software international and I'm going to use the same signatures that I used in the reviews I did though this morning and this afternoon whatever you want to call it and let's get started the installer is 23.5 megs so it's fairly small that's good and get a trial key and let's see here seems to be going pretty quick on the install let me turn on my networking card here okay it's going to ask me to restart so I'm going to pause the video while it restarts and I'll be right back okay windows is a restarting now the install was very quick and I like that I've tested some software lately that has had very log installs and took forever but this was nice and quick and I like that hopefully everything else will be just as good I'll wait here for it to start we'll update it I'll make sure the settings are where they should be and from there we'll get going let's update it I'll check for updates oh I forgot to so let me get a trial subscription here real quick and hold on one second okay I got a trial key here now we can definitely update don't check for updates seem to be going pretty quick updates are all done see a very scanners here all files that's good heuristics are enabled manuals can we're going to do that later quarantine advanced scanned exclusions let's go to settings we'll take that right there possible on one to the applications save that logs are empty of course update everything looks so kind of settings here completely automatic that's good let's close it out and get started with Internet Explorer fairly simple program I like that will make sure will so hope it works as a good as I hope it does because it's a fairly simple to operate and that one went right through as you can see it turned off the firewall looks like that won't went right through to we'll wait for that to finish downloading and it looks like that one made it right through also and so did that one that one always takes a little bit to download seems like the computer is locking up here Internet Explorer is locked up so open that up again cool looks like that one made it through now it's going to take a little bit to download that one the security soldier is installing just fine total security 2009 or so okay finally found a little something here disinfect removed apparently that's going to install just fine don't see any other problems here so you can see it's installing what I'm going to do right now is I'm going to open up f-prot and i am going to perform a scan and i'll pause the video ID scans and i'll be back and hopefully find some okay guys I'm back um I've prot just finished scanning it found one thing and it contained it and that's about all it found total security 2009 security soldier that's all still on there and whatever else i installed got installed on there that's still there see if you get any redirects or anything like that to go to avg and there you go to redirect a vest we can actually still get to a vast we can actually get to the free avg website so it's kind of weird how it and get pop-ups so that's it on f prot you saw it let the decent amount of stuff through got a bunch of stuff running right now in memory right there's one and just all over the place little things and I'm sure there's a bunch of stuff running around in the background that we can't see so a front needs some work definitely needs better signatures and it needs some kind of protection for zero-day malware this is what I tested with and it doesn't have pretty much anything even though it says it has heuristics it didn't pop up a single time so that's it for for right now and i'll talk to you guys later so yeah
