hey guys and welcome to a tutorial by Pictou productions today I'll be showing you how to use the Adventure Maker version 4.5 so let's get to it Adventure Maker is more for the type of mystery kind of games where you have the arrow pointers where you choose which way to go and stuff so um go ahead and say new project once you've opened it up go ahead and name it whatever you want and let's just go ahead and make it four windows because the pictures are pretty big and stuff bigger and now what you want to do is you want to click create new frames by importing pictures and go ahead and go through here and hold down control and select them like that and there you go and stay open now it opens them all right here right so we're gonna go into a house fire by just double-clicking okay now go like this just hold down your mouth left Mouse and see how your cursors like that highlight the house okay just like that now you want to say go to another frame say house near okay that'll mean when you click it it'll go to the next frame which is house near so if you want you can click here and say click the arrow like that just like that now if you go you go back but we're just gonna go ahead and highlight the thing is we want to move when we click them okay I'm just gonna go ahead and go through that and say what we want it to do um just pretty much all of them it takes a few seconds but it's totally worth it I mean this is gonna be a fairly good game in what five minutes you got that and now go in the door open that basically what we're gonna do is we're just gonna make it go into a room that's got a lamp and we want the lamp to turn on music just like that and just like that once again now when you say go to another frame don't click this one because it'll just start over it just quickly up off again okay it's basically a never-ending game okay unless you want to change it but now if we go back here and see okay when we're going here and we double click on the thing we see we have that cursor and so when you click it it's just gonna automatically go to this okay now you can um pretty much let's move this a little bit just that's should work and then um double-click it and say click here to change and you can choose any of these it really doesn't matter which one it's really up to you but I prefer this one for when you're going in something now the wall okay we want them to just have to click this and not around here you know so we double click it so click here to change click that by double clicking it go back to the project menu go to door closed select that now this one you don't want to be well I guess you can but I prefer it to be like one of these because they're more like if they hover over it they'll figure out that it's a thing that you don't have to go into yet and this one is when you launch the we go into thing so now here it gets a little tricky actually not that bad but it's basically is where you want it to turn on and stuff and so just I just like to choose the same cursor for that like that but I also like to be more creative and to mix match and stuff but all right now you pretty much are done now go to project properties button right here and say initial frame and say the UM frame you want to start with in our case would be house fart say okay you got it now say run project start and it gives us a kind of a menu so you click start it bunches up of it there you have it now watch hover over it there you have your thing see wherever the square was there is that when you click it goes to this when you click again it goes right here there's notice when I go around the door it doesn't let me now it does doesn't does doesn't does go in you've got your door the handle it opens go in you've got your lamp turns it on and that's pretty much it push escape to exit that's pretty much it so um I will be hoping to come out with a tutorial on how to make the game but I'm not quite sure how to do so myself quite yet but I'll be hoping to figure it out um I could really use ideas for tutorials so please if you like this video like it and leave a comment in the comment box below and this is my first tutorial so please don't leave any lame comments in the comment box but I I'm also getting into 3d rad which is a game making software - not for just like this kind of game it's more for like racing and first-person shooters and stuff and I'll be hoping to do some tutorials on that too so thank you for watching see you next time
