Norton Security Scan 4.7.0.181 Crack + Serial Number (Updated)

While not being the flagship of the company and was almost entirely created for advertising purposes, Norton Security Scan is easily utilized for assessing your computer’s security status. The declared purpose of this software application does not have almost anything to do with the intended one.

The first exclamation sign comes from the size of Norton Security Scan package and the lack of cloud scanning technology further adds to the suspicious items checklist. Definitely, this is a case of undercover advertising. Moreover, the fact that this particular piece of software can only process and fix a handful of malware elements while detecting more than it can actually take care of is enough for labeling it scareware.

Symantec must have needed money really bad back then and this specific tools might have procured a few victims that contributed with some capital. This does not mean that Norton is a fishy company, but a company that, at some point in time did not find any other better solution, thus they went through with this aggressive approach to the end-user and that cannot be a healthy attitude no matter what.

Even so, Norton Security Scan does provide a set of useful tools that can help you assess where your computer stands as far as security is concerned. Relying on the Norton virus definitions, it analyzes the entire system in order to identify high risk threats that might pose problems. It can show you whether the PC is protected by an antivirus and whether any web protection method is present to safeguard the system while online and notify you about dangerous websites you are about to access.

Additionally, it scans system cookies and tries to categorize them as suspicious and dangerous, recommending the removal of the latter, an operation which can be performed with the push of a button.

Norton Security Scan does show you the security status of your computer, but it does not actually fix any problem besides removing suspicious cookies. Instead, it recommends Norton products to solve security-related issues, Therefore, it must not be used as a permanent protection solution.

All in all, the community is better off without Norton Security Scan and although there still is a great number of such software on the market, it does not portray the Symantec logo. Norton Security Scan can only be seen as a lesson to learn from and keep off software resembling the same idea of belligerent behavior towards the user.
