ToneLib GFX is an audio application that features a series of virtual effects and amps which you can add to a guitar playing or recording session. The program is designed specifically to be used with electric guitars or bass guitars, and the effects it contains are modeled after real-life audio tools.

Among the effects that you can add to your sessions you can find: equalizers, distortion and overdrive pedals, amp and cabinet simulators, modulation, delay and reverb sound effects. You can add and remove effects in the “Effect chain” bar by just dragging and dropping.
You can use one of the program’s presets or you can start from scratch and create your own. The app even has a function that helps you tune your guitar by providing a little visual assistance. Each effect has its own interface where you will usually find a few knobs; these can be moved with the mouse easily to further tweak the effect’s settings, and thus the sounds that are coming from your instrument.
In the program’s settings you can customize a few visual preferences, but, more importantly, you can select your audio input and output. You can also map a MIDI controller if you work with one. ToneLib GFX can be used as a stand-alone app or as a VST for a digital audio workstation.
