Before proceeding any further, you should know that the app works only with SpeedTouch, Cyta and Thomson routers. Therefore, if you have a router made by another brand, the password finder won't work.

This is a Metro app that was specially developed for desktops, tablets, laptops and notebooks running Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. Since it's trusted by Microsoft as far as security is concerned, Wifi Passwords can be downloaded and installed via the Windows Store.

The Modern UI has a simple appearance and intuitive layout. First, you have to get hold of your router's SSID. Secondly, enter the last digits and click the "Find the passwords!" button.

This task may take a while. Once it's over, the wireless key finder reveals the possible passwords it calculated. In the following step, you can select the first displayed key, right-click to copy (or press Ctrl+C), then enter it when attempting to access your router's settings. If it didn't work, copy and paste the remaining passwords until you find the match.

There are no other options available, besides the fact that you can take a screenshot of the visible content and share the picture using an external Modern UI program, such as OneNote or Twitter. Unfortunately, Wifi Passwords doesn't make room for customization. For example, it doesn't give you the possibility to change the background.

All things considered, Wifi Passwords is not a foolproof password finder. It only take into account the last digits of your SSID to calculate the possible passwords. Also, it only works if you have a SpeedTouch, Cyta or Thomson router and haven't changed the original, manufacturer key.
